Tantra Date Night or Connected Touch?

Choosing a date night for couples near Boston

I’ve been getting questions about my two workshops for couples: Tantra Date Night and Connected Touch Date Night.

“How are they different?”

“Which one should we try first?”

“And if we’ve already attended a workshop, will there be something new for us?”

Both evenings give you time to step away from your everyday routine, enjoy each other, and learn something you can bring home.

Each has a different focus, though. Here’s a little more about what you can expect.

Tantra Date Night: presence, playfulness, and connection

Perhaps you’ve been curious about Tantra, but aren’t quite sure what it involves. Or you’d simply enjoy an evening together that’s different from dinner and a movie.

Tantra Date Night offers a broad introduction to Tantra-inspired intimacy through guided meditations, communication exercises, gentle body-awareness explorations, and a simple Tantric touch practice to bring the evening together.

You’ll have time to slow down, notice how you feel, and pay attention to your partner.

That can take a little adjustment when you’ve spent the day working, answering messages, or thinking about everything that needs to get done.

You may discover that you’re sitting right in front of someone you love, but your mind is still somewhere at work. :)

The practices offer ways to bring your attention back to being together. You might share something you haven’t talked about before, enjoy a playful moment, or notice how a familiar touch feels when you have time for it.

Choose Tantra Date Night if you’d enjoy exploring several ways of connecting emotionally and physically, with a gentle introduction to a Tantric approach.

You don’t need to know anything about Tantra before coming.

Connected Touch Date Night: giving, receiving, and boundaries

Connected Touch takes a closer look at how you experience touch together.

You may enjoy touching each other, but still find some parts confusing.

Are you offering the touch your partner wants, or the touch you enjoy giving?

When your partner says, “Whatever you’d like,” do you know what you would like?

And when someone offers you something lovely, can you let yourself receive it without immediately returning the favor?

Grounded in the Wheel of Consent®, developed by Dr. Betty Martin, this evening explores two questions:

Who is doing the touching? And who is it for?

You’ll practice noticing your preferences, asking for what you want, and communicating what you’re comfortable with.

For example, stroking your partner’s hand because they’ve asked you to can feel different from exploring the shape and warmth of their hand for your own enjoyment, with their permission.

Neither person has to guess what the other is doing or why. You make an agreement, try it, and notice your experience.

Choose Connected Touch if you’re curious about touch, desires, boundaries, and the difference between giving and receiving.

What you discover may be useful outside your intimate life too, including when you’re asking for help, offering something, or deciding whether you want to say yes.

What do both evenings have in common?

Both are guided, experiential workshops in Watertown, Massachusetts, near Boston.

You’ll spend the evening practicing with the partner or practice buddy you come with, in a warm, grounded, playful atmosphere.

There is no nudity, and you stay with the same person throughout the evening. Practices are explained before you begin, and you can ask questions.

Every practice is optional. You can adapt it, pause, or sit one out.

You don’t need to arrive feeling completely relaxed or ready to try everything. Being a little nervous about something new is understandable.

There is time to settle in and find out what works for you.

Which workshop should you attend first?

Either one!

There are no prerequisites, and you can attend them in either order.

If you’re curious about a broader introduction to Tantra-inspired intimacy, start with Tantra Date Night.

If the questions around giving, receiving, and asking for touch catch your attention, start with Connected Touch.

You can also ask each other, “Which evening sounds more interesting to you?”

That may be all you need to decide.

What if you’ve attended a workshop before?

If you’ve been to Tantra Date Night, Connected Touch offers a complementary experience with more focused exploration of touch and consent.

You’re also welcome to return to a workshop you’ve already attended.

Knowing the instructions doesn’t mean you already know what you’ll experience. You may feel more comfortable asking for something this time. Your partner may notice a different preference. A practice that felt awkward before might become something you enjoy.

You don’t have to keep finding something new to benefit from practicing together.

Sometimes a familiar practice gives you an opportunity to notice what has changed.

What if we’ve worked together privately?

You may recognize some of the practices. A Date Night offers dedicated time to revisit them, with guidance and without having to organize the evening yourselves.

Perhaps there’s something you enjoyed in our sessions but haven’t made time for lately. Or you’d like an occasion to reconnect with what you learned.

You’re welcome to come with questions and see what you discover now.

A different kind of evening together

You don’t need to master anything before coming. You don’t need to have a particular problem, either.

You can come because you’re curious, because you’d like to learn together, or because you want to spend an evening enjoying each other’s company.

If you’re unsure which workshop would suit you, get in touch. I’m happy to help you choose.

Warmly, Zhanna
